This is natural; because as intelligent species, we are curious know the basis of life. As seekers, we want to gain more and more knowledge, and know more about our creation, and our creator. To find out the answer, we first need to understand ourselves as a soul. In various ancient texts, we are told that we in reality are a soul. Our bodies are just like a garment that we wear for some time, leave it, and then wear another one. The kind of garment we get, however, totally depends on the kind of karma we do. Modern science identifies the soul as, consciousness. Furthermore, there has to be something within us which experience the world through our physical senses, which in fact, is the soul, or consciousness.
