God Is One Explanation
In a world wherein we have many religions and faiths, we often find conflicts arising between individuals. The differences arise due to many factors like, way of prayer, who we pray to, and our overall faith. Nonetheless, we keep finding unity amongst us despite the ever rising differences. We often say that we all are humans, and find sameness in the oxygen we breathe, bodies we have, and so on. Not just that, but we also try to find oneness in god, although we do it quite superficially, isn’t it? We often say that god is one, however, deep within us, we do not truly mean it, and only believe that “my god is the one.” However, to truly understand the scientific explanation of god is one, we need to understand a few facts. So let us begin with our god is one explanation.
The physical world of separation
To understand the dimension of oneness, we first need to know the dimension that creates separation. As it is evident, we all are materialists and our focus is limited to the physical plane. We remain limited to what we can see, touch and feel. Anything that our senses cannot perceive, we take it to be non-existent. But, do you know that our limited focus to the material world is the cause of separation?
Let us take our physical bodies for example. Our physical bodies thrive on boundaries, because without that, physicality cannot be maintained. Like, empty space is everywhere, because it does not have a boundary around it. Without a boundary, we cannot have a physical world, it is impossible. So it can be said that, because we remain stuck to the physical world, hence arises all the differences. We feel cut-off, disconnected, and separated from the rest of creation. The “one” dimension
Now that we have established that how we live in a dimension that separates us, let us understand the dimension that unites us. Do you know that science initially kept its focus limited to the material plane? Yes, all the scientists, just like us, only believed in things that they could see and feel. During the era of Isaac Newton, a mechanical worldview was developed, wherein everything was seen to operate as per physical laws. Nothing beyond the laws of physics was ever studied, or acknowledged. In short, because of science, we started to believe that nothing beyond the physical exists, or, there is no force that unites us.
However, with advancement of science, a new branch of physics came, called quantum physics, which finally started to utter the term “consciousness.” They concluded that there is an intelligence, which is consciousness, and it is everywhere, all the time, and is all powerful. It was concluded that there is just “one” source of everything, and we are “one” with it. So what does that mean? Let’s explore.
Unity
All religions say that god is the creator of everything; he creates, preserves, and also destroys. Likewise, science too says that there is an existence of dimension beyond our physicality, which is the source of everything, and is the one only source. Science also says that we are one with that source, but how do we experience it? This is where spirituality comes in.
Spirituality means, transitioning from the physical world, to the world of non-physicality, or the world of spirit. The focus of spiritual tradition is to teach seekers disconnect from their physical bodies, and enter the non-physical realm, where there are no boundaries. When we do this, we truly experience that “one” source of everything, and then we truly understand that not just god, but we all are one. This process is for seekers, who do not believe anything until they actually experience it. When we touch this dimension, then there is me or him or this and that, but just one that is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient. God is really, one, and we are one with it! Conclusion
Preaching that god is one is one thing, but living it experientially is something else. To be honest, only that person would preach this idea of oneness, who believes that we all are separate, isn’t it? The person who has experienced this oneness does not need to preach it, because for him, it is the only truth. The fact is, until and unless we admit that how the physical world creates conflicts, we would never dare to go beyond it.
Only a person, who feels stuck and suffocated in this world of boundaries, would want to go beyond it. So, let us scientifically admit that our so called world is nothing but a trap, and let us commit to go beyond it. Let us truly see that god is one, and let us become one with god.
